The Cape May Seashore Lines operates on the fomer Cape May Branch of Conrail and the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (P-RSL). The trains use former P-RSL self powered Rail Diesel Cars built by the Budd Company in the 1940s or 1950s. The trains run from the Cape May Zoo to Cold Spring Historic village then over the Cape May Canal and into Cape May. The route is mainly in the forest. The cars have old advertisements in them and there is a guide along the way, but because they are old, the airconditioning is not the best. I am a native of New Jersey and I like it because it uses historical equipment that ran in New Jersey. If you are not from NJ it is still a nice ride and a good alternative way to travel to Cape May instead of a car.

As of this date ( 9-25-06)the Cape May Rail is running between Richland and Tuckahoe NJ.``The ride is great and the short walk through the woods to get to the Museum is quaint. The ride uses rails still being used by coal trains traversing to the power plant in Somers Point NJ. The train goes through old Jersey towns like Dorothy. WELL worth the price
