The Lake Superior & Mississippi is a diesel-powered excursion train running along the St. Louis River near downtown Duluth. It is not as well known as the North Shore Scenic Railroad, which also runs out of Duluth, but is just as scenic. The ride takes you out along the edge of the St. Louis River and through beautiful valleys and scenic vistas. You pass under the massive Oliver Bridge of the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range.
