The historic ride on the Leadville, Colorado & Southern Railroad train provides a classic view of the Rockies and the hardships of railway construction. The views are breathtaking and with a little imagination you can get the feeling of Colorado during the gold rush.

We were treated To a wonderful ride on July 5th, 2005. The train is clean, and the equiptment well maintained. The Conductor knew the line, and the area. She was well versed on the wild life. Thank you

This train ride was just right. Not too long. Not too expensive. A 900 ft climb to the timberline. (you start at 10,000 ft) Beautiful trees, water falls, panoramic views of the mountains and valley with a possible wildlife sighting. And, a tour of the engine and caboose during a short stop-over at the old water tower. Don't miss this one. Its a very enjoyable ride.
