I've taken this trip twice and would come back as often as possible to do it again. The Animas River Canyon is a natural jewel and the narrow gauge trains really highlight the journey through. Ever train lover or just tourist should make this trip.

Great trip. Wonderful scenery, many waterfalls coming off the mountains as you near Silverton.
