I'm glad the Ohio Central brought some excursions to Pittsburgh. Last year,it was the first train sice 1952. F7As 1000-1001 were the power for last year. I highly recomend this railroad to everyone. Hope to be on this years excursions!

Several months ago, the OC announced the end of their excursion program including daily trips out of Sugarcreek. They note declining tourism/ridership and escalating insurance costs (Hmmm, are passenger railroads being asked to fund the 9/11 insurance company losses?). At present, they appear to be planning to run a few excursions which are already on the books.````No decision has been made about the final disposition of their excursion equipment.````Check their web site: www.ocsteam.com for updates!````Otherwise, I agree that this was a railfan friendly place/operation! Hopefully, they will be able to overcome these obstacles and return their trains to service.
