50 mile round trip; 4 1/2 hour including 1 1/2 hour layover for lunch; Rusk to Palestine, Texas or vice versa-two trains/day; pine forest, 24 bridges, 4 deer; Engine: 1947 Alco diesel or 1917 2-8-0 Baldwin steam; coaches: 4 1920's -one with A/C which sells out early in Summer

I enjoy this trip almost ecvery year. It is very nice in the spring when the trees are blooming. Very friendly staff and beautiful scenery. Reasonably priced.
