The Tennessee Valley Railroads is the best railroad museam I have ever been to. It has so many things to see, including 3 operating steam locomotives, tens of diesels, and a working shop/turntable area. I really apreciate this railroad being in existance.

The ride is nice but not all that impressive. The museum itself is extremely impressive, lots of old trains out in the yard. Good staff. Interesting to see them turn the engine around at the turntable at the end of the line. Even better for the kids if you are staying in one of the old train cars at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo hotel downtown.

GREAT RIDE WITH LOTS TO SEE AND LEARN ABOUT OLD TIME RAILROADING. GOOD TO SEE A STEAM ENGINE BEING USED.

The TVRM offers a wonderful working museum with OPERATING steam and Diesel locomotives. The equipment and rolling stock are well preserved and maintained. The steam trips travel along very historic rail lines. The longer excursions into Georgia are equally fantastic. Great for the entire family.
