The line takes you on a beautiful journey along the Willamette River in a authentic antique trolley car. The one way trip is 45 minutes long. Allow 2 hours for round trip travel. Once the center of the Oregon gold rush, Sumpter is still a vibrant little community that retains relics from it's glorious past. Tour the famous gold dredge in town and hear explanations of how the precious metal was retrieved from the Sumpter Valley. Located just off I84 and 22 miles from Baker City, the Sumpter Valley operates each weekend from Memorial Day to the end of September, and includes several Night Train and Photo Specials.
