Since 1992, this rail line continues as the Santa Fe Southern Railway, a piece of living history - still carrying passengers through the high-desert beauty which is our home, and still carrying freight to serve the community.
Experience the subtle beauty of the winter high desert while riding in warm comfort on vintage rail cars. The almost ghost-town of Lamy awaits you! Tuesdays (when available), Thursdays & Saturdays. These popular rides are available all year round.

The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad operates daily through Sunday, October 20. The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is America's most authentic steam railroad, just as it was for a century, from the coal tipple to the conductor's smile. Twisting and turning through the beautiful San Juan Mountains on tracks that tamed the West, you'll cross the Colorado-New Mexico border eleven times. Count them as you look down from Windy Point, up at the spires of Phantom Curve, or into the depths of Toltec Gorge.

The narrow gauge train at the Tingley Beach Train Station operates daily from 10:00am to 3:00pm (weather permitting). The train does not run on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Days.
