Often called the "best preserved" shortline in North America, the Nevada Northern was one of the last great mining railroads built in the early 20th century, carrying millions of tons of copper ore from Ely mines.

NCTC offers a 90-minute partly narrated train ride. After a half-hour ride to History Hill, enjoy a tour of the Chinese Cemetery, then a half-hour train ride back. Daily excursion cars are gondola (open top). Narrow-gauge train ride is almost a 3-mile round trip.
