The "Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino" is situated outside the city of Ushuaia, 10km to the West of the city. The F.C.A.F. leaves the "Estación del Fin del Mundo" travelling along the route used by the convict train 100 years ago. It runs through the "Cañadon del Toro" and crosses the river Pipo on the "Puente Quemado" (Burnt Bridge), where you can see the wooden ruins of the old bridge underneath the new one. During the journey on the train passengers will be accompanied by a bilingual guide (Spanish-English), who will recount the history of the "Convict Train".

Famous world-wide between the tourist trains that still roll by the planet, the Old Patagónico Express , also known like "the Trochita" , is a living relic of a full history of adventures, anecdotes and all type of events. In the immensity of the patagónica steppe, crossing the extensive territories of Chubut, the trencito, with economic super trail, 75 cm wide, it today covers a tourist service between Esquel and Nahuel Bread and periodically the service of passengers until the Maitén, seat of the central factories and today North head of the route.
