There's little to compare to a day out at the races, the thril of seeing horses and jockeys pitted against one another, overcoming the hurdles and putting in that last ditch spurt to win by a nose. Or can there?``Well, if you're planning to visit Cheltenham National Hunt Racecourse in the UK, there's an extra special way of getting there that will enhance your day out and make it extra special. Why not avoid the traffic jams and travel by train instead. From this March (Gold Cup Week) onwards, the opportunity exists to arrive at the racecourse in style, on a steam hauled train on the Gloucestershire-Warwickshire Railway. This line is run entirely by volunteers and uses locomotives and carriages restored to a very high standard. It's well worth the extra expense to bypass the crowds - we can't wait!

Lovely line- beautiful countryside, good choice of locos and stock, the efforts of these volunteers over 20 years has been awesome.````Must see for anyone in England.

this is the best railway. everyone is allways happy to see you and speek to you. the amount of effort put in by volunteers is astounding. i would think about joining my self, to this great railway. i would recomend it to anyone.

Fantastic work guys! This railway has friendly staff, lovely countryside and good selection of rolling stock. Cant wait to get the train at Stratford!
